Let Us Know You’re In!

Dancers ready to take on a solo, duo, or trio can start working on it over the summer. Shining on stage alone (or with your bestie!) is a thrill and a challenge.

It is also a significant commitment from dancers and their families! Solos, Duos, and trios can perform at the Lakehead Festival of Music and the Arts in March, which may coincide with a work or school day. This commitment is time, energy, home practice, and finances! Cost expectations are broken down below.

Per Dancer Per 30 Min Class
Solo  $    35.00
Duo  $    20.00
Trio  $    15.00

Dancers can expect the following regarding the minimum number of lessons needed to feel ready for the stage. We encourage families to rehearse at home between practices to ensure dancers remember their choreography and not spend extra time re-learning the same parts.

6 Classes to Learn Routine
4 Classes to Clean for the January Showcase
3 Classes to Clean for the Festival
3 Classes to Clean for the May Recital

In addition to the actual lessons, costume fees are generally higher for these routines (in the $75-$120 range), and costs are associated with performing at the Festival. Expect a ballpark figure of $60-$100 per routine to enter and another $20 for appropriate tights and dance shoes!

If you’ve not been dissuaded and think this is a project your dancer is ready to take on, fill out the form below! We will start many of these routines over the summer and into September (the first six classes) while there is plenty of studio availability. The number of routines that will be able to start in the fall is limited as we are expecting a lot of studio time to be dedicated to Nutcracker practice. Fall-time starts for these routines cannot be guaranteed, but summer starts can be!
